Founded in 2023 by Debby & Darby Gilbert, Meraki Designs started as an idea to bring awareness to under-represented topics in the form of merchandise. After exploring different focus areas during their first year of business, Darby & Debby decided to hone in on the stigma surrounding mental health. Having both been victims of the load negative mental health can bear, this focus is truly close to the hearts of our founders.

Meraki Designs is a brand that produces merchandise focused on mental health. Our goal is to end the stigma around mental health by designing merchandise showcasing that mental health matters.

The Name

“Meraki” is of Greek origin meaning to do something with love, creativity, and soul, or to put a part of yourself into something. What better of a description could you find for caring deeply about something?

The Icon

The Lotus flower is the icon of Meraki Designs as it symbolizes strength, resilience, and rebirth. On a mental health journey, all three of these words carry significant meaning.
